One chilly evening whilst walking home from a local bar/bars I happened to notice a strange but colourful ring of light circling the moon so of course out came the camera, I just had to capture this as I've never experienced anything quite like it before. It was much more vivid to the naked eye than the camera shot and to the right of the moon shone the most brightest star.
The next day after doing a bit of research I found out it was a 'Lunar Corona' - Produced by the diffraction of light by the water droplets of clouds, the same way a rainbow is formed from sunshine in the daytime. Interesting ehhh
